I am a UK based genealogist who is passionate about helping people to rediscover their ancestors in England and Jamaica.

There are many reasons why, as adults, we start to wonder about our ancestors. Maybe geography kept us from our elders, a common story among the diaspora. Maybe questions about our elders were considered rude when we were younger. Maybe we lost our elders relatively young. Whatever the reason, we find ourselves wondering ‘where, and who, do I come from?’.

Thankfully there are many ways to rediscover your ancestors. Many documents are now available online and DNA testing means you can find relatives even if the records are lacking in information.

However, this can be costly (subscription fees) and time consuming. It can also be very overwhelming. When you’re presented with multiple people with the same name how do you find your ancestor? You’ve done a DNA test, but how do you make practical sense of the results or your matches? A professional genealogist can be so beneficial if you’re finding your family history overwhelming.

I have honed my research skills for many years, in both academia and in my personal journey to find my ancestors. I am a qualified scientist (PhD) and I use these skills to critically assess all the information out there to find the story of your ancestors for you.
